A Mother-Daughter Takeover of an Old Family Restaurant

Evelia and Luz Juarez De La Rosa took ownership of Casa Mañana West in June 2025 from longtime owner Desiderio, continuing the legacy of an authentic Mexican restaurant in Little Rock that has served the Chenal neighborhood for decades.

Casa Mañana West opened its doors in 2002 in the then-new Chenal area, quickly drawing a diverse clientele from all walks of life, from the construction crews that built the community to the bank employees powering the lunch rush to the professionals who call the area home. For more than twenty years, it’s been the last dependable stop for great Mexican dining before exiting Little Rock.

As new management, Evelia and Luz aim to keep the same cozy, at-home atmosphere while expanding catering services, private events, and community-driven theme nights. They bring long-standing experience in every part of the restaurant world – both guest-facing and behind the scenes.

Each began bussing tables before moving into waitressing, bartending, event planning, and managing. Now, they’re excited to revitalize Casa Mañana West for a new generation while preserving the charm that has kept regulars loyal for two decades.

Both mother and daughter share a passion for good food, hosting, and creating community. They’re committed to bringing back the authentic Puebla-style dishes that made Casa Mañana a Little Rock staple, while reflecting the town’s evolving food scene. Classics like Pollo al Chipotle, deep-fried Shredded Beef Tacos, and the ever-popular Tortilla Soup will always have a place on the menu. Evelia and Luz see a new wave of Mexican dining in Little Rock and are eager to channel that energy into refreshing the business.
